Combi Boiler Cover Definitions

Boiler Cover / Boiler Breakdown Cover: This is an insurance policy or a service agreement that covers you for breakdowns to your combi boiler. Some plans also cover your heating system.

Boiler Insurance: Insurance is FCA regulated and complaints are handled by the Financial Ombudsman. Insurance is different to a Service Agreement in that it is regulated and monitored.

Boiler Service Agreement: Agreements are contracts and as such are not regulated. Complaints are handled internally by the provider.

Emergency Cover: Cover in the event of a breakdown or loss of service. This can be extended beyond the boiler to the entire heating system, supply pipes and more.

Central Heating Cover: Some combi boiler cover plans only include the boiler. By covering your central heating system you include the radiators, pipework and other items that makeup your home’s entire heating.

Excess: This is a monetary value paid on top of your plan in the event something not covered by your policy or agreement is required.
